The rap legend Snoop Dog who was an early investor in Beyond Meat and now an outspoken celebrity ambassador for the vegan brand recently said that he tricks his kids and other family members into eating vegan foods.
He said of his tactics:
“How did I introduce plant-based meat to my family? Plant-based products to my family? I just slid it on them. I snuck it in,” Snoop Dogg said in the promotional video.
“You’ve got to sneak it in, man, because so many people are accustomed to a certain taste or a certain way of doing it. So you’ve got to slide it in and let it just be a way of coming in.”
He describes the reactions he usually gets when he gets family members to try plant-based vegan meats like Beyond Meat for the first time.
(“Mmm, what is that?”) to which he responds,
“Well, that’s something new … it’s Beyond Meat. It’s actually plant-based.”
When family members say, “Oh, I didn’t know I liked plant-based,” Snoop Dogg responds, “I know. Keep eating it.”
The new video you can watch below is part of a new content series Beyond Meat has put out called “Why Go Beyond”.

It’s a series that is a compilation of personal accounts from their celebrity ambassadors to uncover their reasons for shifting their diets to a plant-based vegan diet.
Comedian Kevin Hart, Actress, Youtuber Liza Koshy, and NBA star Chris Paul all feature in the series for Beyond Meat and they have all been outspoken in their support for the brand across social media platforms.
Snoop Dogg is unfortunately not a vegan but he sticks to a plant-based diet consistently.
He said in an interview in Muscle and Fitness that the reason he and other celebrities are going on plant-based diets is to live healthier lives.
“I think health has become a bigger priority for everyone, including myself and my family,” he said.
“I love to see artists, entertainers, and influencers putting a bigger emphasis on this to encourage everyone to live their best life,” he added.
“You know we all wanna live forever.”
Besides investing in Beyond Meat Snoop has also earlier this year invested in the new “PigOut Pigless Pork Rinds”.
Outstanding foods a plant-based snack company is behind the new plant-based “pork” rinds that were launched in February and currently doing well.
“I’m excited to partner with the Outstanding Foods team. They got some great snacks coming out…. Wait until you see what else we got up our sleeves, ya dig,” the rapper said in a statement.
Snoop Dogg has been working with Beyond Meat for quite some time now including back in April at the peak of the pandemic he donated Beyond Burgers to frontline workers at a hospital in California.
He worked closely last November with Beyond Meat and Dunkin’ Donuts to promote their new breakfast sandwich He recorded a commercial (See Below) as well with the brands where he served the Beyond Meat breakfast sandwiches to customers surprising them.
In February he gave out Beyond Burgers while attending the pre-Grammys party.
Finally just last May when Beyond Meats IPO was launching to incredible success on the stock market Snoop Dogg drove a Beyond Meat branded food truck around the neighborhood of El Segundo (the city where Beyond Meat has their headquarters) to help promote them.
